[Hey hello hi everyone hi. There is a very excited, very different looking Eevee staring you all in the face right now. And after a lovely shot of blue skies and trees and a little staring, the silver-colored Pokemon gets to work licking the screen. Because hello everyone and everything! She sees you all!]
A-Amelanosis, wait...! [As the owner of the voice approaches, the Eevee looks up and begins to chirp happily. Pretty soon she pulls away from the gear, jumping at the legs of her trainer, who picks both the piece of technology and the Pokemon up with a sigh.]
I'm...sorry if she interrupted anyone...I actually did want to make a post though...i-if no one minds. You can just ignore this if you want though...
[Sitting down, she points the camera at the baby Pokemon now in her lap.]
I-is it possible for...Pokemon to be albino? Or...different colors at all? Because I've seen a few Eevee before and they've all been brown...and in every other species, Pokemon seem to stay the same color so... She took a very long time to hatch too...
Is she okay? Did I do something wrong...?
[Tsumiki sounds genuinely concerned and just a little bit upset as she asks this. There's a couple more moments of a curious looking Eevee on the screen before the feed ends.]

Tsumiki, she's a gorgeous lookin' one! Albino's where they're all white, yeah? Don't see why that can't happen!
Yer full a luck, huh?
no subject
Yes, that's what albinism is...and she's very pretty...I just hope that that's all it is... [Because she's still very new to Pokemon nursing, and if her Eevee has some sort of disease or something...]
F-full of luck? O-oh no...that's Komaeda-san. I'm...not very lucky at all.

Ya don't give yerself enough credit. Why don't I prove yer more than lucky? I wanna make an offer for ya.

[Thanks, Mondo, you're so helpful.]
I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a long time to hatch! They seem to come out okay!
[...did Ishimaru ever find out if that dinosaur ramming into things was normal or... You know, maybe he shouldn't have said that.]
That's a relief though...I was scared the egg might have been...dead.
[Because Eevees take forever to hatch, and then this one decided to be extra lazy about it.]

Don't worry, Tsumiki, you didn't do anything wrong! That's a shiny Eevee! Her coloration's just a little different, that's all. Other than that, she's just like any other Eevee. It can happen to all species, but it's pretty rare.
My fiancée has one, but hers evolved a while ago. He's an Umbreon now.

Why are they called shiny...? Or...is it just Eevee that are...and what's an Umbreon?

[ Yes, Nanami did just stare at the screen for two minutes before even saying that. You should be used to this sort of thing by now, Tsumiki. ]
A shiny...! How lucky. You know, if you evolve her, her other form will be differently colored, too...it's a special sort of thing.
video;
It will? Will it be white, like her?
[OH WAIT. IT'S NANAMI!!]
Ah, I never did thank you! I'm sorry, Nanami-san!
[She'll just do that now, bowing a little to the screen.]
Thank you for the egg. I've been taking very good care of it!

But...you've only seen pictures of your Pokemon...? Or...sorry, I meant others of the same species...I'm sorry if I'm b-being confusing!

[And lick, apparently, because Amelanosis sure is getting some (likely very warm) Houndoom kisses now. This is her baby, she hatched it and it is hers, just like Natsuhime. None of her children are Houndours but look at all these fucks she gives.]
[Kuzuryuu, meanwhile, is somewhere off in the grass training the rest of his Pokémon, presumably. He'll be back eventually.]
action;
Hello Tadami. This is Amelanosis! Thank you for helping hatch her.
[She loves Kuzuryuu's Pokemon like seriously. He has found some of the sweetest Pokemon ever. Tadami is getting a lot of love from Tsumiki as well.]

Th-thank you...a-and thank you for reminding me! I...can't believe I forgot about that...I-I'm sorry Amelanosis! [Tsumiki gives the Eevee a hug in apology before looking back to the girl on the screen.]
I will be sure to look after her...!
[Apparently she's just like this...all the time, then. Right. That's...good to...know...?]
I don't think you've done anything wrong - sometimes Pokémon are different colors like that! I haven't had one, but I've known a few that have.
And this is indeed the case. Have fun, Ishimaru.]
You've...known a few, Ishimaru-san? That's a relief... [She hugs the Eevee a little, who chirps at the screen in greeting.]
I would have hated to...have done something to harm her...

[ Snake wasn't sure about it, but he didn't see any reason as to why Pokemon couldn't be different colors. After all, animals in his world could just be different variations and have different patterns on their fur or scales. ]
It looks healthy enough.
[ video ]
There are only so many purple Rattatas you can fight before you just assume they're all going to be purple.]
I-it does...you're right...I'm just worried about later on...diseases can be present before it ever does anything harmful to the body.

[Now that's really something. Jimmy's seen the normal brown Eevees before, but a silver one? That's pretty awesome.]
She's really pretty! And she looks ok to me!
A-ah...thank you. And...she does, which I'm thankful for...I just hope she continues remaining healthy...

[She's had explanations about "shinies" and the like, but that didn't really explain why they were different colors. Just that, sometimes, rarely, they were.]
I...m-much prefer that idea than...a disease or something.

I'm sure you've gotten the explanation already, but as an extra reassurance, if there are any problems with shiny Pokemon, I haven't noticed any myself. Through various circumstances, I've found myself with two, and while one of them is... a bit odd, I don't think it has much to do with his coloring.

T-two?
[She's not going to reply in text, because it - somehow - manages to be more intimidating than simply speaking face to face with someone. It'll probably save him waiting five minutes at a time for a reply though, at least.]
You must be very lucky...but...th-thank you! That is very reassuring to know...I will...probably still watch her closely but...I won't worry so much now.
ahahaha oh god i accidentally my html tags... oh well we can roll with it
