Second Vaccine; Video/Action for Goldenrod

[There is a deer staring curiously at you all today, good people of Pokeland. A Deerling, to be exact, sporting it's winter coat and flicking it's ears back and forth as it watches the camera. Soon there's a happy noise and it runs off, the camera lifting so you can continue watching it as it plays in the sun.]

...h-hello. I...wanted to thank the Breeding Centre...for my Deerling Egg! It hatched, and she's very sweet...and very excitable! I've named her Vitamin D.

[It then drops down to show off an egg.]

I recently purchased a Pichu egg too. Thank you for th-this one as well! But um...th-that's...that's not the only reason I am making a post today.

[As she continues to talk, the camera view wanders over to an Audino, who is sitting with a Rattata, both stuffing their faces.]

I-I assume that there are other...people who are working for the Pokemon Centers...o-other Nurses, perhaps? I was hoping m-maybe I could...talk to you. I-if you aren't busy. I-if you don't want to talk to me, that's okay! I understand!

[This post is obviously taking a lot of effort to get out there. She practiced it several times before putting it up, but it doesn't seem to be helping much at all. As the gear continues to record, the view begins shaking a little. Just barely, but enough to be noticeable.]

I-I...I-I'm sorry if this interrupted you any! P-please feel free to disregard this!

[After that, the video ends.

Anyone in Goldenrod today can find her outside, sitting on one of the benches in Goldenrod for a rest or wandering the streets with her three Pokemon and window shopping for some warmer clothes. Or at least a coat...]

Yes, hello, I have!

[Although she wouldn't exactly call herself a nurse, quite the opposite really.]

What did you want to ask, dear?

[...girlie, what has you so nervous? Goodness gracious.]

I wouldn't call myself a nurse, but I've been working at the centers for about three years now. Why?

[A beat.]

Also, your Deerling is very cute.

[Though Vitamin D, admittedly has him a little curious.]

Belphe, unfortunately, missed the earlier broadcast as she was, ironically enough, absorbed in her work at the Goldenrod Pokemon Center. Now, however, she's on her way back to the inn for the evening and...can't help but notice the girl looking longingly at the warmer clothes through the shop windows and the young pokemon she has in tow.

"Things tend to be pricier in this city." she comments, hazarding a guess that she, like the others Belphegor has spoken to recently, must be new to this place.

[Wandering the streets with a Deerling, you say? What crazy random happenstance, a certain ringleader is doing the same with his menagerie of Pokemon.]

[So, uh, sup Vitamin D, that sure is a Zebstrika excitedly bounding up to you. HEY, HEY THERE BUDDY, WASSUP, WANNA STEAL APPLES? That's in fact an actual thing the Zebstrika is asking, as a matter of fact.]

[If only his trainer knew what he was plotting... But Joker is a bit oblivious to his pokemon's shenanigans. He's standing in front of a store, a notepad held in hand. He's apparently chatting with the Mime Jr. on his shoulder. There's some others around him too- a Tranquill on his other shoulder, a Skarmory trying to siphon off heat from a Furret who wants nothing to do with it- but it's only the other Zebstrika by Joker's side who's looking towards the one heckling Tsumiki and her Deerling.]

O-oh, um. I didn't want to really...ask anything, sorry...I was hoping w-we could maybe just...t-talk? O-or...

[QUESTIONS. What questions can she ask.]

A-are...or I mean...h-how do you like working there?

[There. That's a good question. Let's start off talking about this girl. Letting others talk is always far easier.]

[You wouldn't believe her if she told you, John. Because it is literally everything.]

I-I just wanted to...m-maybe talk with other nurses. O-or Pokemon center workers if they had the time...

[Oh, a compliment! She looks off screen, presumably to the Deerling in question, with a smile.]

Vitamin D...someone says you are very cute.

[Hey, you totally wanted a curious Deerling face popping on the screen and making some happy noises at you, right? Because this one is definitely doing that.

She is very cute, isn't she? Thank you for noticing, mister!]

While her Pokemon are relatively calm when she approaches - even excited, in the case of the Deerling, who happily greets Belphie - Tsumiki jumps at the seemingly sudden presence. It's likely she just didn't notice, lost in her window shopping, but she quickly turns to face this new girl.

"D-do they?" Stiff and fidgeting a little, the nurse glances back at the window, having a difficult time keeping eye contact. "I-I didn't really look at...anything in prior cities..."

The Centre is always happy to help! I'm glad that your Deerling is doing well. It's always nice to hear about the Pokemon we adopt out and the eggs we've sold!

[ Hey, she's...technically in charge of that, so Aradia figured she should respond to the part thanking the Centre. It seemed apt.

Though she can't help with the rest, since she always waitresses. ]

[WELL HEY THERE, says Vitamin D getting all sorts of excited by this new Pokemon. She isn't sure what stealing is, but she knows what apples are and if she can eat some she would gladly like to go do that. At the mention of eating, her Rattata tries to get on the action too, eagerly wanting to tag along.

Tsumiki, on the other hand, is quite taken aback by the excited Zebstrika.]

Ah...hello there. Are you...just a wild Pokemon? I didn't think wild Pokemon came this far into town...

[Then again, there's someone nearby with another one of these Pokemon now that she's looking around...

OKAY APPROACHING THIS STRANGER IS GO because she wants to find this Pokemon's trainer if it has one.]

...u-um...e-excuse me...

Th-thank you for running such...a wonderful service! I truly appreciate it! [There's a bright smile on her face as she says this.] Ah, w-would you like...to hear about the Pichu when it hatches too?

Been a bit quiet, so- Huh?

[Joker looks up from his list as someone approaches, his small zoo glancing over as well. The Mime Jr. gives a cheery nod and the Furret immediately makes a beeline to sniff at Tsumiki's feet. Who's this now?]

[A grin passes over the redhead's face as he realizes who's made a deer friend.]

See ya met Caesar! Sorry if he was buggin' ya, he's a nosy thing.

[Caesar the Zebstrika just looks very proud at this classification.]

[John giggles a little, wiggling his fingers at the screen. Precious deer baby.]

Hello, Vitamin D. YOu are a very pretty little Deerling.

[BUT BACK TO THE CONVERSATION WITH THE HUMAN...]

But alright, what did you want to talk about? Just...anything? Or...did you have something specific in mind?

O-oh no! No, h-he wasn't bugging me at all! He's darling really! [This was a bad idea, she should have just let Caesar wander back to his trainer eventually.]

I-I'm sorry for interrupting! I...merely wanted to find his trainer...I-I thought maybe he was a wild Pokemon...who managed to wander into town at first...

[Which, if so, she probably would have tried to lead him back to the outside of town.

Oh, hello Furret! Staring down at the curious Pokemon, because it is just so interesting.]

S-sorry...

[By now her Audino has wandered over to meet the gaggle of Pokemon and this other trainer as well, waving at the group.]

[Are you trying to give her an ego? Because you are succeeding. She just perks up, puffing her chest out a little and batting her eyes at him. She is the prettiest Deerling you've ever seen, isn't she?]

...ah...

[The human hadn't thought that far ahead...she quickly wracks her brain for a conversation topic...]

I...I-I don't know...I'm sorry, I-I didn't even think about what we would talk about!

[She thought this would just...go so much more naturally than this. How hard would it be to talk to another nurse? Apparently very hard when you're not sure how to actually start a conversation.

...wait. Maybe...]

...a-actually if you don't mind my asking what...wh-what's your favorite bandage?

[Hinata had asked her that very question before, so maybe it was an okay question to ask for normal conversation.]

It's no problem! I actually inherited it when the second owner left, so. It's a nice place to have around, I think! Especially the foster home portion of the business.

[ Since there are always people leaving and coming... ]

And sure! I do like to hear about them, you know? It's nice to hear about people and their Pokemon. I think it's sort of a fun part of this?

Next month...or if we meet up in person before then, perhaps Princess Angelica and your Pichu can have a playdate...?

I think it should hatch by then.

[ She's going to get them all to meet up on the fourteenth come hell or high water, so Nanami is just assuming they will meet up next month. ]

You...inherited it? [Did the previous owner die? She said they 'left' but...] ...what's the foster home?

[As for the last part, she's really happy to hear that. She'd love to update the people she purchases eggs from on how they're doing, because...well the seller is sort of part of their family, right? In a way?]

I-I will...be sure to drop you a line then.

I think that is a great idea, Nanami-san! [A playdate for the Pichu and a chance to visit with Nanami, who'd say no?]

I will let you know the minute the egg hatches. And where we are if we leave Goldenrod by then!

Yes! Saber used to be in charge, but she went home...so, I ended up running it after that. As to the foster home...people drop off Pokemon with us that aren't well suited to going back to the wild after their trainers leave, and that sort of thing. We take care of them, and endeavor to find them new homes! Though there are some permanent residents, actually.

All right, that works...right now, we're up in Ecruteak. Those two...really wanted to see the dancing kimono girls...?

[ She's okay with it, but Nanami's not really uber enthused about the dancing kimono girls.

...do they find homes often?

[This was the most important thing to address. It's only after she asks this that she realizes oh hey she just got a name.]

Yes! We do our best to give them really good homes, even if just with us. We do have a fair amount of adoptions, but they're a little less frequent than our egg sales.

[ The adoptions tend to come in cycles, oddly. ]

Just "Aradia" is fine! Unless you prefer it the other way? And all right, Tsumiki!

Dancing kimono girls...? So...Saionji-san is still with you then?

[Dancing kimono girls playing Dance Dance Revolution. In Pokeland none the less. Nanami, do you realize how ridiculous this sounds?]

But on the subject of the Foster home, she may look into adopting Pokemon. Because that's really the saddest thing, even if they do have a good home with the Centre.]

SHE'S NOT EVEN SURE WHEN THIS HAPPENED...? OR HOW?

Like, she just randomly offered to go to Violet with Saionji since she was heading that way anyway, and Shaun was already with her...

And then it just made sense to go in the same direction... ]

...But there are some pretty cool Pokemon legends here, so I don't mind the detour. Anyway, before the third gym I should train a little more...I don't have any fighting types, so there's no relying on type effectiveness.
