First Vaccine; Video/Action
[Today on the network is a video of a Rattata chasing its tail. Aside from the sounds of the little Pokemon scurrying in circles on the ground as well as the bustling sounds of the town of Violet, the video is silent. There's no trainer talking about said Pokemon on the screen, nor is there any Pokemon talking either. Not for a good couple of minutes anyway.
If you stick it out long enough, eventually a meek sounding girl speaks up.]
...h-hello everyone. I...I think I have this...filtered correctly.
[Quite obviously she doesn't, considering this is broadcasting to anyone who decides to look at their gear. Where did she learn to even attempt to filter posts? Who knows.]
Nanami-san...we're in Violet now! K-Kuzuryuu-san and I are waiting by the Pokemon Center. I-I wanted to introduce you and Hinata-san to my Rattata!
[Because apparently catching Pokemon is Important plus she thinks the little rat is very cute.]
Th-this is Verapamil. Kuzuryuu-san helped me catch her. Sh-she doesn't look like it but she is very strong! Um...I-I guess that's all I had to say...
Th-this was a pointless video, I-I'm sorry for wasting your time!
[Hastily the video is shut off. Someone needs to teach this girl how to properly filter her messages.]
[Anyone interested in visiting these two can find them by the Pokemon Center, like she stated. Tsumiki now playing with her Rattata while her Audino stands nearby. Kuzuryuu stands a few feet away, accompanied by his Pawniard as usual and looking a little surly. Well...surlier than usual. That might have something to do with the Spinarak sitting on his head but really, it could be anything.]

action;
Mostly because she knows what's coming next and it's best if that's avoided. Really nobody needs any more of his yelling.]
A-ah, e-excuse me! I-I'm sorry for interrupting but...Kuzuryuu-san and I aren't together like that!
[...though is her own shouting really any better?]
action;
[Really damn tired.]
[But before he can get any words out, Tsumiki surprises him by actually speaking up and that kind of catches him completely off guard because how often does that happen? Not very.]
[Give him a minute.]
action;
All right, then; she'll address the girl in their midst, instead. For the time being, at least. There's a certain desperation there that Kirigiri makes sure to make note of; Kuzuryuu's been pretty hedgey and tight-lipped this whole time, but it looks like the girl with him might be considerably less so, if nudged properly.
Always a good thing to know.]
Of course not.
[Moving right along.]
I take it you're Tsumiki-san?
action;
I-I'm sorry for not introducing myself first!
[Oh Kirigiri. Sure, you probably could get information out of her. It'd probably be easy.
Unfortunately she is of course one of the people who literally knows nothing about what you're probably interested in.
She might be able to tell you what crawled up Kuzuryuu's rear and died that made him so cranky though.]
action;
It's never a bad thing to have an idea of who the SHSL Pushover is.]
Have you enjoyed traveling with Kuzuryuu-kun?
action;
Though congrats you probably found her.]
With Kuzuryuu-san?
[Just kind of glancing in his direction momentarily before nodding.]
I-I have, yes. He's a very good traveling p-partner!
action; oh my god why is plurk down when we need it to figure out what's going on here.
[No but okay this is pretty funny. Sir Tight-lips of Hedgeington is just going to shut up for a minute and watch this unfold. Where's the damn popcorn he's pretty sure he's going to need some for this.]
action; EVERYTHING IS SHIT lemme just talk to tsumiki for a while
She's aware from previous conversations that Kuzuryuu is far from stupid. Moreover, he's inherently suspicious both of her and of her questions. So the fact that he's not seeking to control this conversation (and by extension, the flow of information that might come from it) is...telling. Either he doesn't think there's any risk of letting Tsumiki talk, or he's enough of a sadist that giving up any information she might spill is worth watching her get interrogated for it.
Either way, it earns him a brief but curious look from Kirigiri before she turns her attention back to Tsumiki. That sort of personality really is fitting for someone called the SHSL Gangster, isn't it.]
I'm sure he's treated you well. He's very thoughtful and considerate, isn't he?
[Of course he's not, that's bullshit and at least two of the people in this conversation know it. But this isn't about the truth, right now; just about how easily the girl called Tsumiki can be prompted into agreeing with pretty much any assertion Kirigiri happens to make.]
action;
She's...pretty sure. That's what he says anyway. Usually. Sometimes.]
...w-well. He didn't leave me on my own in New Bark. A-and he taught me how to battle. And how to catch Pokemon too. I-I caught Verapamil w-with his help! He w-would also step in to battle trainers when I-I couldn't! He let me pick berries too, even though we were kind of in a hurry...and he tried to help pick them once too.
[She smiles with a nod.]
S-so. Yes. Kuzuryuu-san is very thoughtful and considerate. A-at least...I think so.
action;
That's how a traveling partnership ought to be, I think. Helping each other to better achieve a positive outcome for everyone.
[Beat.]
Of course you helped him just as much in return, didn't you?
action;
I-I...I t-taught him about b-berries...
[Not that...that really equals all he did for her...]
I-I didn't help him enough!!
action;
You accompanied him all the way from New Bark. I'm sure that made things easier, just by having you present; companionship isn't something to be disregarded, even if it's a subtler variety of assistance.
action;
At least Kirigiri's words seem to calm her down just a little bit.]
...I-I don't know if it really m-made it easier for him a-actually...
action;
[And with that, she turns her attention back to level a solid look at Kuzuryuu.]
Isn't that how it is, Kuzuryuu-kun?
action;
[Why did you have to turn the topic of conversation back to him?]
Tch. She wasn't complete deadweight, at least. There are worse shitheads I could have been stuck with.
[Give this boy a you tried star because wow look at that compliment there.]
action;
...I-I'm sorry, Kuzuryuu-san.
[There being worse shitheads does not mean she isn't one herself. But hey there's at least a little smile showing there? So she recognizes it's some kind of compliment.
Or...that it's supposed to be.
Maybe?]
action;
Are you going to travel with Nanami-san from here on out? I know she's in town, as well.
action;
Honestly that's probably the saddest part of this entire exchange.]
Travel with N-Nanami-san? U-um...
I think m-maybe I'll travel alone? [She fidgets a little.]
I don't want to bother anyone else.
