[Hey hello hi everyone hi. There is a very excited, very different looking Eevee staring you all in the face right now. And after a lovely shot of blue skies and trees and a little staring, the silver-colored Pokemon gets to work licking the screen. Because hello everyone and everything! She sees you all!]

A-Amelanosis, wait...! [As the owner of the voice approaches, the Eevee looks up and begins to chirp happily. Pretty soon she pulls away from the gear, jumping at the legs of her trainer, who picks both the piece of technology and the Pokemon up with a sigh.]

I'm...sorry if she interrupted anyone...I actually did want to make a post though...i-if no one minds. You can just ignore this if you want though...

[Sitting down, she points the camera at the baby Pokemon now in her lap.]

I-is it possible for...Pokemon to be albino? Or...different colors at all? Because I've seen a few Eevee before and they've all been brown...and in every other species, Pokemon seem to stay the same color so... She took a very long time to hatch too...

Is she okay? Did I do something wrong...?

[Tsumiki sounds genuinely concerned and just a little bit upset as she asks this. There's a couple more moments of a curious looking Eevee on the screen before the feed ends.]

[It might be a bit difficult to recognize Joker without his make up on and his hair rather plain, but that sure is his whistle and his voice coming through.]

Tsumiki, she's a gorgeous lookin' one! Albino's where they're all white, yeah? Don't see why that can't happen!

[It was a little difficult, but when she recognizes his voice, she smiles.]

Yes, that's what albinism is...and she's very pretty...I just hope that that's all it is... [Because she's still very new to Pokemon nursing, and if her Eevee has some sort of disease or something...]

F-full of luck? O-oh no...that's Komaeda-san. I'm...not very lucky at all.

She seems healthy enough, although I admit I ain't any sorta professional. [He gives a well meaning chuckle.] So long as she's happy and well, I think she'll be fine 'specially with a person like yerself watchin' over her.

Ya don't give yerself enough credit. Why don't I prove yer more than lucky? I wanna make an offer for ya.

[Tsumiki looks down, not immediately sure how to respond. She will of course do her best to make sure she's happy and healthy and well taken care of...but that doesn't have anything to do with the kind of person she is. That's just how you should act. Pokemon are living creatures too, after all...]

...what...what sort of offer?

Next time ya breed one a those- since yer a breeder sort yeah?- Next time ya do, I'll give ya P20,000 and ya can come ta the circus whenever ya like, free a charge.

And I think ya will be able ta do it. Gentle hands like yers raise the best.

Wh-what?! [She's absolutely stunned with this offer, staring nearly dumbstruck at Joker for a few moments.]

I...J-Joker-san...I couldn't...that's...!

[Maybe she'll figure out how to talk again if you give her a minute.]

[At least so long as he writes it off as a "business expense". Which would technically be true.]

Oh, that might be a shiny-colored Eevee! Or it could be albino, I guess. I dunno, I've never seen an albino Pokémon or a shiny Eevee...

That's a relief though...I was scared the egg might have been...dead.

[Because Eevees take forever to hatch, and then this one decided to be extra lazy about it.]

And what makes ya think this can't be for both me and the circus? Every single one a my troupe will be takin' part in it!

Lookit this way- albinism is a rare sorta thing, right? People get all flustered when somethin' ain't what they're expectin'. So it would help the circus out, and I can promise ya it would have a good home.

I'm a professional, Tsumiki. Ya don't have ta worry about a thing. Besides, fundin' a friend and helpin' 'em out is a good thing too, if ya ask me.

Oh, shiny-colored Pokémon are basically the same as normal Pokémon, they just have different coloring. They're really rare though, so not many people have 'em.

[Yeah, an explanation probably would have been helpful, huh...]

My brother had an egg that took forever to hatch too, but it turned out alright!

[...if by "alright" he means "ramming its head into everything", sure!]

Really...? [Does she really have one of those? If she did it would be because of Nanami, she's sure.] I wonder why they're so rare...are they all white like Amelanosis?

[Because if you think about it, wouldn't it make more sense if Pokemon had more varied colors? Like cats and dogs?]

But if your brother has one like that then...I'll believe you and stop worrying about that. Th-thank you...!

Don't worry, Tsumiki, you didn't do anything wrong! That's a shiny Eevee! Her coloration's just a little different, that's all. Other than that, she's just like any other Eevee. It can happen to all species, but it's pretty rare.

My fiancée has one, but hers evolved a while ago. He's an Umbreon now.

Ame-what now? And uh, no, they're not all while, I don't think. I'm pretty sure they're just color-swaps, so like if your Pokémon's normally red, they might be blue, or something like that.

Yeah, it's no problem! Sometimes eggs just take longer to hatch, so I wouldn't sweat it!

[Joker, Tsumiki is beyond touched right now. Her eyes are watering a little, but she's doing her best not to actually cry as she nods just a little.]

...th-thank you. Thank you, Joker-san. I-I will do my best for you...!

[She doesn't know anything about breeding yet, even less about shinies and if they can be bred, but if her friend wants an albino Eevee for his circus...she'll figure out a way to get him one. Payment or not.]

A-Amelanosis...it's another name for albinism. I thought...it would be an appropriate name for her... [But then again, she's still pretty sure her naming sense is weird so who knows if it's fitting or not.] So then...Pokemon really can be all sorts of different colors? Just...rarely...it's a little strange but very neat...

I'll be sure to remember that for future eggs then...I-I'm sorry if this was a bother. I'm still very new here...

Why are they called shiny...? Or...is it just Eevee that are...and what's an Umbreon?

Is it...? I have just...been working for Pokemon Centers... [It's more than the breeding thing. You referred to her as a friend, and that's a big deal for her.]

Oh but...Amelanosis. It's another term for albinism. I felt it was a more fitting name than simply Albino or something similar to that...it refers to the absence of melanin pigments, which is what causes albinos to appear white.

Really? So that's how it works, huh! [He doesn't know what melanin is, but he supposes it makes sense to people who do. The explanation doesn't sound that complicated, after all.] Yer pretty smart, Tsumiki!
