[Today on the network is a video of a Rattata chasing its tail. Aside from the sounds of the little Pokemon scurrying in circles on the ground as well as the bustling sounds of the town of Violet, the video is silent. There's no trainer talking about said Pokemon on the screen, nor is there any Pokemon talking either. Not for a good couple of minutes anyway.

If you stick it out long enough, eventually a meek sounding girl speaks up.]

...h-hello everyone. I...I think I have this...filtered correctly.

[Quite obviously she doesn't, considering this is broadcasting to anyone who decides to look at their gear. Where did she learn to even attempt to filter posts? Who knows.]

Nanami-san...we're in Violet now! K-Kuzuryuu-san and I are waiting by the Pokemon Center. I-I wanted to introduce you and Hinata-san to my Rattata!

[Because apparently catching Pokemon is Important plus she thinks the little rat is very cute.]

Th-this is Verapamil. Kuzuryuu-san helped me catch her. Sh-she doesn't look like it but she is very strong! Um...I-I guess that's all I had to say...

Th-this was a pointless video, I-I'm sorry for wasting your time!

[Hastily the video is shut off. Someone needs to teach this girl how to properly filter her messages.]

[Anyone interested in visiting these two can find them by the Pokemon Center, like she stated. Tsumiki now playing with her Rattata while her Audino stands nearby. Kuzuryuu stands a few feet away, accompanied by his Pawniard as usual and looking a little surly. Well...surlier than usual. That might have something to do with the Spinarak sitting on his head but really, it could be anything.]

[ Instead of replying, Nanami will head straight to the Pokecenter. She's got her Munna floating along behind her, as well as a rather pink buneary holding her hand - she has to sort of tilt to one side for that, but. It's worth it. ]

[ She actually is really happy to see you both it's been a while.

Especially for Tsumiki. ]

[ Hey, isn't this the girl who was with Kuzuryuu? They didn't get to talk back then and Naegi was too focused on the part where the SHSL babyface mentioned his name to ask about her since he figured she'd make her own post eventually.

Should he really reply to something that wasn't meant to be seen by everyone, though? ...Sure, why not. He wants to talk to her. Gotta learn more about his fellow dangans! ]

[Combo-breaking the Dangan cycle comes Shaun, a few minutes after Nanami, his own Munna and a Riolu trailing along behind him.

He's content to hang back for a minute, but Rocky the Riolu has other plans and is going to run right up to Audino and try to start a game of tag.]

Nanami-san! [Putting her gear away, Tsumiki straightens up a little, giving the girl a friendly wave.]

A-ah, you must have been near by. You were very quick!

[Of course she has a pink bunny. Of course. Kuzuryuu, for his part, says nothing and merely raises a hand in greeting.]

Wh-wh-what?! [She looks a little horrified. She thought for sure she'd filtered this!]

I-I'm sorry!! I'm sorry that I did not properly filter this! I d-didn't mean to waste your time!

[You sure you wanna learn more about this dangan?]

[ Nanami drops the Buneary's hand, as it hops over to investigate the Rattata. The Munna stays with her, even as Nanami makes it over to the other two, smiling calmly. ]

Yes...I was just hanging out near the inn we're staying at, really...So as soon as I saw your post, I hurried over.

[Her Audino has little qualms with playing tag, though it takes her a moment to realize that's what's going on.

Come back here you cutie, she's going to tag the everloving crap out of you!

Tsumiki, however, is startled by this.]

A-ah, Amitriptyline, no! Th-this isn't a battle! D-don't hurt it!

[Shaun looks a little relieved when the game is accepted, and he offers the girl from the 'Gear a reassuring smile.]

It's okay, she's not going to hurt her!

[Since Rocky's...actually like level 80...]

[ ...Yes. He is the protag (not her protag but still) and that means he's got FTEs to finish. :|b ]

I-It wasn't a waste of my time! You don't have to apologize.

[He is a good protag then. Though sadly, despite established proswag, calming her down isn't going to be that easy Naegi.]

Sh-she's not? [There's clear uncertainty on her face, but she lets it go for now...Ami doesn't seem to be trying to battle with the Riolu anyway so maybe he's right.]

[Shaun's watching them play just to make sure Rocky isn't getting too rough.]

She's okay, really! Rocky's the one that started it, so I should be the one that's sorry.

But it looks like they're just having fun.

[The Rattata happily moves to sniff the Buneary, chittering happily at the prospect of making a new friend.]

Y-you didn't have to respond so quickly...but thank you! I really appreciate it...and I-I've been really excited about seeing you. I hope that's okay!

P-Please, calm down! It was just a small mistake.

[ There's a small pause before he continues. ] I'm Makoto Naegi. You're Tsumiki-san, right?

[She does her best to calm down upon being asked, murmuring another apology as she wipes at her eyes. She nods though.]

N-naegi-san? A-are you the Naegi-san that Kuzuryuu-san knows?

[Well now that he mentions it they do look like they're just...chasing each other, don't they?]

...I-I'm Tsumiki Mikan. I-it's nice to meet you, Shaun-san.

[ Look, it wasn't even her fault, it was a Christmas present and just worked out that way...

It's a boy bunny, though, so it has a boy's name. At least it is not Usami the pink rabbit, okay. ]

[ Vibri the Buneary is just as happily chattering. YES, FRIENDSHIP, LET'S DO THIS THING. He's...a lot more high energy than Nanami is...really, it's kind of exhausting... ]

Hm...? I've been really excited about seeing you both again, though...so that's all right if we both were, right...?

Why yes, it's Kirigiri, and wouldn't you know it, when you hang out by a social hub like a Pokemon Center, you're pretty likely to encounter the vast majority of the people who might be hanging out in that there town. She's been in Violet for at least a day or so by now, so she's coming from the direction of the inn, and she's got Baskerville the Houndour trotting obediently along at her side as she goes.

She doesn't particularly recognize Tsumiki as anything other than "oh, that girl, maybe", but she's talked to Kuzuryuu before, and let's be real — once you know what you're looking for, he's kind of hard to miss.

...unless you forget to glance down.

[No hello, Kirigiri? OF COURSE NOT.]

[When she gets to Violet- a mite later than Nanami and Shaun, but still just in time for the broadcast. She immediately slams the PokéGear shut, and hopes to whatever deity out there that Kuzuryuu was telling the truth.

...In any case. She takes a deep breath, brings out her Mawile Ayani and Ampharos Farron intimidatingly, and straightens her back, just like when she's preparing to walk on stage. Walking with purpose, with grace, but with her head up instead of down.]

Heh, of course I couldn't go on without seeing your ugly face. Fate is just too cruel! [And there she is, staring at Tsumiki with a rehearsed smug grin.]

Yeah!

[Rocky, who is now It, boops Ami on the paw before darting away with a laugh.]

It's nice to meet you too, Tsumiki. Is that your starter?

[He indicates the Audino, who seems to be enjoying herself even if she isn't up to the same speed as the light-footed Riolu.]

That's right. But we're from different times, so I don't really know how he knows me.

Heh, of course. It's all been kiddie shit so far, like any of that could stop me.

[Apparently no hello from Kuzuryuu either. Let's all pretend we're surprised. But that frown has turned upside down at least. Into a smirk, granted, but still. He honestly wasn't expecting to see Kirigiri until he reached Goldenrod.]

[Excellent. This means he doesn't have to worry about her eavesdropping when he talks to Hinata. HAHA VICTORY.]

So to what do I owe the pleasure of getting to see you so soon?

[Kuzuryuu, you really need to do something about that Spinarak. Because refusing to acknowledge it isn't making the damn thing go away any faster than outright attempting to leave it behind did. And who can take you seriously when you have an adorable, happy spider sitting on the top of your head like some kind of bizarre, leggy hat.]

[...not that most people took you all that seriously pre-spider but that's neither here nor there.]
